The Estero Fine Art Show happens twice annually in the fall and in the winter. Upcoming dates are November 5 & 6, 2011; the 8th Bi-Annual Estero Fine Art Show is January 7 & 8, 2012. Juried by art professionals, this high quality fine art & craft event brings world-renowned & top notch local artists to sell their paintings, clay, glass, sculpture, wood, fiber, jewelry, photography and more at Miromar Outlet Mall. All work is original and hand made by the artist who is present at the show and happy to answer any questions about their work. You will see artists at this event that you do not see at other Florida shows. Live art demonstrations allow many opportunities for the patrons to be able to understand the processes that the artists go through to create their specific medium. There is also live entertainment, which does not interfere with patron and artist. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that enhances the artwork and creates a relaxing environment for art lovers.

ArtFest Fort Myers, Southwest Floridas premier art festival takes place downtown Fort Myers on February 4 & 5, 2012 from 10 to 5 each day. Each year Fort Myers only free, two day art extravaganza, decorates our downtown with exceptional artwork, entertainment and childrens art activities. Attendees enjoy and purchase artwork in a variety of mediums and prices from nationally recognized artists from across the country and around the world. Its better than a gallery there is lots of variety you can talk to the artists you can view the work of over 200 fine artists in a single weekend you can introduce your children to the magic of original art.

Fort Myers Saturday Art Fair

The Saturday Fort Myers Art Fair is held the Saturday after the first Friday Art Walk, 11am -4pm, each month from October 2011 to April 2012. This year, the Saturday Art Fair will take place just steps from the broad Caloosahatchee River along First, Dean, Lee and Jackson Streets in the completely refurbished and restored downtown Fort Myers River District. These bricked thoroughfares with wide sidewalks are dotted by some of the River Districts best galleries and boutiques, including Coloring the World Gallery (on Dean, right), Green-n-Groovy Gallery and Eco-Boutique, Arts for ACT Gallery and the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center.

Masters Art Festivals

Boulderbrook Productions puts on 4 festivals in Estero and Naples during the fall/winter season. The first (Dec. 3-4) will be at the Gulf Coast Town Center in Estero, which gives festival-goers a tremendous venue for combining their holiday shopping with an art fix. In January, the Collection at Vanderbilt (directly across from Tiburon Golf Course) will be the site for the Naples Masters Winter Art Festival. Inspired by classic Mediterranean architecture with pedestrian-friendly covered walkways, casual fine dining, and unique boutiques, the Collection at Vanderbilt is an ideal location for an art fair. In February, it's the Ole Art & Jazz Festival at Lely Resort, with the Naples Masters Art Festival returning in March to the Collection at Vanderbilt.

Another Boulderbrook production, this festival is limited to 70 of the finest artists from across the nation who will be exhibiting fantastic jewelry, paintings, prints, hand-blown glass, ceramics and wearable art. Boulderbrook touts this as a "Best of the Best" show, "gathering the best artists who visit southwest Florida. Artists will even bring pieces to residents' homes after hours to see if it is the perfect piece for their space.

This art festival features works created by more than
100 local artists who range in skill and experience from
novice to expert. Some are students. A number are
professionals with their own following and gallery
representations. Almost all are members of the Pine
Island Art Association, who work tirelessly throughout
the year to prepare wall art in a variety of mediums
just for the festival. ”There will be watercolors,
acrylics, oil and pastels painted by many talented and
experienced artists,” reports Art Association member
Phyllis Dowd. ”At this year’s show, you will find a
large selection of landscapes, seascapes, birds,
flowers, fish and wildlife.

Started in 1967, the Naples Artcrafters has been part of the southwest Florida art scene for 42 years. For more than 40 years, the Naples Artcrafters have been putting on fine art and craft shows. Its members include painters, potters, jewelers and just about every other artistic discipline imaginable. The group holds shows in Cambier Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of every month from October through April. The event and parking are free.

Sanibel Masters Art Festival

Because of its picturesque setting and temperate climate this time of year, this art festival attracts approximately 75 premier artists from across the country. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with the artists, learn what inspired them, and discover the techniques they used to make their artworks and wares. Along with traditional original oils and acrylics on canvas, museum board and wood panel, festival-goers will find watercolors, drawings, pastels, photography, pottery and ceramics, fiber art, glass art, metal sculpture, handmade Tiffany-style lamps and handcrafted jewelry. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Besides fine art, this festival also features gourmet food booths and live entertainment. Trip Advisor has named Sanibel as the #2 vacation destination.
