Sun-N-Fun Lagoon Description:
In June, 2006, the North Collier Regional Park opened, including the Sun-N-Fun Lagoon water park. This is a great facility, with several pools, water slides, and a lazy river attraction. The pools include a family pool, a pool for children under 6, one for children 7 and up, and a lap/diving pool. Guests climb a 38 foot tower to enjoy one of three water slides. There are lots of lounge chairs around all of the pools. Huge umbrellas provide shade, but you have to arrive early to claim one of these desirable spots. The water park includes a concession stand with drinks, snacks and sandwiches, but note that the line can be long, so you may want to pack a picnic instead. In addition to the Sun-N-Fun Lagoon, the North Collier Regional Park offers soccer and softball fields and a unique Can-U-Dig_it playground, which is a modernly designed park with slides, swings, jungle jims and a covered fossil dig area. Finally, the Park includes a 6,000 square foot fitness complex. In addition to annual membership, the fitness center offers visitors access to the facility for a nomimal daily "walk-in" fee, a 30-day membership or a 3-month membership.
