Description


The Key West Express departs from Fort Myers Beach for a 3-1/2 hour trip to Key West aboard one of their impressive vessels. On your way, you can enjoy the outdoor sun deck or indoor air conditioned interior, food and beverage for purchase and flat screen TV's with satellite television. Once you arrive in Key West, you're on your own for lunch, shopping, bar-hopping and sightseeing. You can choose a same day return or stay a few days and really soak in the Key West experience. Southwest Florida Traveler highly recommends this mode of transportation to Key West - it's fast and fun. Note: Seasonally, the Key West Express also departs from Marco Island.

Fort Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach is the beachfront community located on the barrier Estero Island, with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Estero Bay to the east. This island is a beach vacationerís destination, with a variety of resorts, hotels, condominiums and beach cottages. The main attraction at Fort Myers Beach is just that, the beach, with miles of soft, white sandy beaches. The north end of the island, primarily the Times Square area, is livelier and more congested, especially in season from January through April. Here you'll find souvenir shops, restaurants and beach activities. The south end of the island has a more tranquil, residential feel.
